| I used to love this casino. It was the only one left within a reasonable distance from my home that actually still had nickel slots. When Redhawk casino opened I went to Jackson to gamble, not the one 30 minutes from my house. MY MISTAKE!! When i got to Jackson almost all nickel slots were gone. My favorite ones were replaced with some low payout penny slots.I was only there an hour. I hate what they have done to there establishment. | 2 |

| first off I read all the reviews before giving you this. I went to the casino with the purpise of poker only, the staff was helpful and warm this day. I had a limited time to play and did get seated on a 1/2 table that was a 2/2 table not a big problem. Im no pro, Im new to live games but for someome just getting into poker this is a good place to start. ( very helpful dealers ). My only complaint was the food brings back memorys of high school or a low buck chow hall...... give the one shot it might be worth it...... | 7 |
| House rules for poker are odd. No Listening to music, no check raising. Also tournaments have 15 min levels, which make you play fast. | 6 |
| Any $2 blackjack? | 5 |
| My husband and I took a mini vacation through Californias Gold Country. We decided to find a place to stay that was centrally located...Jackson was the perfect place. Lucky for us it is the home of Jackson Rancherias Casino and Resort. Our room was beautiful and quiet, with a large very comfortable bed, satallite TV, hair dryer, coffee maker, and room service, for breakfast in bed! The hotel staff was extremely friendly and efficient. My husband took advantage of the pool while I enjoyed a leisurely scented soak in the tub (the casino gift store has a great selection of toiletries). Dinner at the River Rapids Restuarant week-end buffet offered a great selection of seafood, roasted meats, ham, salads, sides and dessert all presented by a friendly staff. Unfortunately at this time the hotel/casino was experiencing staffing problems which lead to limited 24 hour services (for instance, no room service after 11:00PM and one 24 hour cafe), but we had a great time playing at casino games (and winning!) well into the morning. The casino is large and offers plenty of slots, roulette and table games, even on a Saturday night we were able to find plenty of choices in all areas of gaming. And they have an arcade for the under 18 year olds. Get driving instructions because its a bit off the beaten track but once you know where youre headed its easy to access off Highway 49 or Highway 88. And check out their suites, awesome!...we will stay in one of them during our next visit. A couple of drawbacks, the handicapped parking is not convenient, its a bit of a walk to the casino from the hotel (shuttle service is available) and the bathroom dressing area is painted a yellow hue and the light cover was partially yellow which makes for some interesting skin color. While this is still a newly built casino and they are working on the amenities, kudos to Jackson Rancheria on a job well done. And great place to stay while you explore Californias Gold Rush history. | 7 |
| The casino itself is kinda nice. But I like to play poker. Problem number 1, 18 and over. Of course they do not mention that and we had to hunt it down on the web site. Of course that means no alcohol, wow I remember that tv commercial with coctails. In four hours I seen the waitress two times. Having a horrible time I decided to listen to my i-pod while playing cards. Oh sorry sir no i-pods in the poker room. Cramped no bad beats, poor service and hobbible house rules. If you want to play poker play somewhere else. Just a horrible experience. | 2 |
| havent been there in a while but also when i won a jack pot some scum pan handler begged me for some money as she wanted to propsition me .They needto add more penny machines as they now are more popular in most casinos all over .Its gambling you cant always win but you can"keep loosing the same goed for all casinos if you complaining of loosing then go find somthing else to do besides complaing of your money loses Jackson is a nice place to gamble | 7 |
| They do offer holdem 3/6 limit and NL 1/2. With mourning tournies as well. Good staff in poker room. | 9 |
| I remember when you could win a little if not win play for awhile. The machines are real tight, The buffet is not up to par for what you pay. I think you are paying for all the new additions going on. I think Jackson needs some competion. | 2 |
| If you're thinking about going to Jackson Rancheria don't waste your time. I have travelled all over Nevada to various casinos, even to the small ones like Winnemucca and Elko, and I must say that this casino has the tightest slots I've ever seen. The video poker isn't much better. The staff are rude as well. Also annoying is a bald guy that runs around screaming through a microphone in the food court area and acts like he's on speed. I lost $6,000 in two days just playing quarters and nickels. The time before that I was there was the same thing. Jackson Rancheria is a scam! Slots are not government regulated so you never know when they will hit. I wasn't the only one losing, every bank had frustrated people complaining. I understand you can't always come out ahead but you couldn't even hit cherries or mixed bars on these machines, they just took money with little or no payback. Nevada gas stations have looser machines. If you go to Jackson Rancheria you will need $20 for 3 minutes of play. The two upscale restaurants are good but are only open for a couple hours. Save your money and go to Reno for a better value! | 2 |
| I won there and I still think the place smells (it really smells like poop) and the staff if rude. I would never go back their again. | 3 |
| The new place is pretty nice. It has the feel of a real casino now. More machines, and a huge table game section, though no Pai Gow or Mini Bac, but hey its alot better than it used to be. They have a nice bar in the casino to relax at, and another one down stairs with a nice bowling alley. They've made a huge step up. Besides the cafe, its bigger and better all the way around. A good buffet was all that was missing. Its definatley a better casino than Jackson. | 7 |
| I recently visited Jackson Rancheria and can say I will not be returning any time soon.I was there for about four hours and saw one beverage server the whole time. I like to play tables and have never encountered so many rude dealers. I was sitting at a blackjack table and a lady sitting at a three card poker table next to mine won a straight flush. Our dealer looked over there and then at us and said "I hate that woman, she is a B**** she complains about everything". I tried many different tables and got the same piss poor attitude at the majority of them. I have never had such a hassle trying to cash a check at any casino in my life. At one point I thought they were going to ask for a my blood type and fingerprints. So if you are looking for a place to have fun and enjoy yourself I wouldn't visit the Jackson Rancheria | 2 |
| Was there just recently yes it is hard to get on the money train and penny machines .Do have to say some timesit can be frustratingas the smoke is awful and lot rude people and lot pan handlers inside .Jackson is a nice casino to visit but they need to limitthe people in there gets to crowded at times looks like lot miners running around .Won a jackpot right away a girl was begging me for money security needs to start carding more people get rid of the bums and minors other wise jackson is a good place to play | 7 |
| This is one of my favorite casinos to go to. They have many multi-denomonation machines that you can play from one cents, two cents, etc. I've been able to play a two cent poker machine with $40 for five hours and win over $200. The penny train is fun to play if you can get on a machine. Use your player cards to get some perks, which includes monthly cash coupons, free food, etc. The only complaint I have is sometimes it's hard to get the attention of the cocktail waitress to get a drink. | 9 |
| The Jackson Rancheria staff are rude as can be. This talk about friendliest staff is just their marketing BS, including the comments on this review. Twice I’ve enjoyed the rude attitude from their staff.
On my first encounter a casino floor staff bumped into me as she passed on the crowed floor and quickly responded with a loud “excuse you” full of attitude. I then went into the Java City coffee shop and was informed that they were closing. I asked to purchase a soft drink and the casher only repeated that they where closing, all this as a green jacket casino employee order her coffee drink. If the staff members do not like crowds then they need to get a new job and I know shops in the casino close but selling me an empty cup so I can get a soda will not keep any one behind, and if you have time to make a coffee drink for your fellow employees then why not sell a customer an empty cup.
On my second encounter with the Jackson Rancheria staff I was driving up to the parking garage and got into the wrong lane, this casino is under construction and they change things on a regular basis as their expansion progresses, I then moved into the lane for the parking garage after being waved through to the hotel by one of the traffic controlle employees. As I waited for traffic to clear one of the traffic controlle employees walked up to my car and lectured me, with his face in my window, on the designated traffic lanes as I sat a waited for my chance to enter the parking garage. I do not go to any place of business so that the employees can talk to me like a child for any reason.
And, this casino has it own police force that will write you a traffic ticket at a drop of a hat. More than once I’ve seen drivers make turns that would have once been legal but due to the changes are no longer legal turns. The Tribal Police will sit and wait for you and if you make a mistake they will slap you with an actual traffic ticket. No warnings from Jackson Rancheria Tribal Police, just tickets and points on your driving record. | 2 |
| I have been to jackson casino many of times.I have always enjoying going to jackson win or lose. Jackson workers have always been been friendly and courtious. It is one of the more friendler casinos around it's one of the most friendlier casinos around always bringing sodas around ;staff ase very friendly and if any problem theyare always there as soon as possible; you win you loose no matter what once you go to jackson you will always go back | 10 |
| Pit bosses are very rude and careless.
Don't bother getting players card, they
often intentionally forget?!? to put points.
(I played 10 hours and spent $1500)
Then they TREAT YOU LIKE BUM when you complain.
All I asked was $8 meal ticket...

We spent 3 days at Jackson Rancheria just a week ago. It is by far the friendliest casino we have been to and we have visited over 75 casinos around the country.
We stayed in their hotel which was quite nice though not as elegant as Barona, Pala, Cache Creek etc. They bought us snacks and drinks because we had to wait 30 minutes to check into our room. Everybody, from the casino attendants, cashiers, slot club people, etc. where very freindly and helpful.
They have a pretty large selection of slots. They do have some of the best Video Poker in California. They have 10/8 progressive bonus video poker quarter machines. The slots were pretty loose.
It is also located in a very pretty area which is a plus. | 10 |
| Jackson Rancheria requires 18 years old. | 7 |

| How old do you have to be to play the slot in the casino | 10 |
| Jackson Rancheria Casino is open, the construction is mostly complete. I had trouble finding the casinos using the top level map they have on their web site. More signs would help and if you have never been there you should print the detailed map. Inside, it is nice, but a little confusing because it is still being finished. I missed the Dream Catchers Club (players club) because it was partially hidden and walked to the far end looking for the club. There was a small wait to join. There was a wide selection of machines. Iris won $100 on the Harley Davidson Slot machine, her new favorite slot machine. Twice I cashed out quickly. When we were leaving there was a long wait to cash out. Once they get a few more items completed, Jackson Rancheria Casino will be a better place to visit. | 7 |
| It's an ok casino for bingo players but has no 7 card or holdem poker. Lots of slots and a good restruant with good food and priced reasonable. | 5 |
